Los Angeles Incident
Referring to the incident at Los Angeles
yesterday, Mr. Stimson, Secretary of War,
told reporters at his Press conference to-day
that 15 unidentified 'planes, other than
American Army or Navy planes, were prob-
ably over the city, and were fired on by
anti-aircraft guns. He put forward the
theory that they might have come from com-
mercial sources of production, or otherwise.
It was better to be too alert than not alert
enough.
