Past scoops, reactions, and ... did Henry Kissinger - the world's best-connected globalist - try to counter or recruit this author in 2011?

By: Joel v.d. Reijden | Original: 2011. | Last update: Sep. 23, 2025.

The following entries are strictly pertaining to unique documents, not studies accompanying these documents and various other unique ISGP studies and produced models.

Released documents: in brief

This author - while having little focus on acquiring unique documents due to eternal money, travel and time constraints - is the first person to have published the Dutroux X dossier, the Atlas dossier, several related Belgian dossiers, and photocopies of membership lists of the Pilgrims Society, Prince Bernhard's 1001 Club and Otto von Habsburg's Cercle Pinay, all very low profile groups with enormous power concentrated in them, either through banking and corporate elites, or the intelligence services.

Timeline

2007
First to publish the full Dutroux X-dossiers summary file, in relation to ISGP's article 'Beyond the Dutroux Affair'. The child abuse network images - backing up some of the "impossible" claims in the X-dossiers - came from the much more limited official Marc Dutroux dossier and was acquired through a certain "John Stevens".

Alex Jones bribe

Also gratitude to Alex Jones for taking the $500 "bribe" to put the related article, which took 1.5 years of daily studying and writing, on the front page of Infowars. It resulted in over 10,000 views in two days and a permanent Google ranking increase. I guess money does buy everything, even CIA-tied conspiracy disinformers.

Legal threats

The apparent Alex Jones support may have helped too, because everybody in the Netherlands besides me who even linked the article at the time received "cease and desist" threats from a wealthy Trilateral Commission (just like Jeffrey Epstein by the way) and 1001 Club family repeatedly mentioned in the dossiers. All the other sites, of course, were far less independent than ISGP, and likely - similar to U.S. sites - tricked into referencing the content because they saw it on Infowars. So that may have played a role too that they were targeted and not me. I didn't make any accusations and would just have kept it up.

Belgian justice and media controversy

You know what's also funny? Mainstream reports exist about the Belgian Justice Department being all so upset that *Wikileaks* leaked the X-Dossier summary file in... 2009 1, one-and-a-half-years after ISGP did so. So yes, let's not give attention to any source not backed by the "Liberal CIA" network - such as Wikileaks - as very uniquely described on ISGP.

Reception

The article was fully Google-banned in 2017, but probably has had north of half a million page loads, despite never having been referred to in any media outlet. Not even the snuff film proof included was allowed on Wikipedia about the subject - another exampe of total information control. No Justice Department ever showed any known interest either.

2008
Discussion of new X-Dossier related files. A few photocopy excerpts posted, along with those from Rapport Godbille and a file about the Haemers Gang.

2008
First to publish membership list photocopies of Prince Bernhard's 1001 Club, one from 1978 and one from 1987. Gratitude to Irish journalist Kevin Dowling, who unfortunately unexpectedly passed away unexpectedly three months later (talk about just in time). A founding letter was also published.

March 2009: On the evening news - without credit

Six months after ISGP publishing the 1001 Club membership lists, Dr. Gerard Aalders, a member of the curious Republican Society in the Netherlands took the information and put it in a new Prince Bernhard biography, followed by a report by NPO Network on the Dutch evening news. Aalders gave credit to ISGP as the source of the lists, but never contacted the author. NPO Network, which involves Dutch State TV, put image compilations of ISGP on the evening news, but never mentioned the site. 2

June 2009: Wikipedia censorhip

Similar to the Pilgrims Society and Le Cercle Pinay, a Wikipedia entry on the 1001 Club was created in late 2005, within months of ISGP producing its first article on the group (and not created by this author). From June 2009 on though Wikipedia's 1001 Club article was heavily censored by apparent WWF lawyers. Any references to ISGP were removed and kept off, even direct links to 1001 Club photocopy membership lists, it literally being written on Wikipedia that the existence of "conspiracy theories" on the 1001 might be due to "the lack of publicly available membership lists..." 3

2008
First to publish the full ATLAS Dossier summary file, including a translation from French to English. It deals with "Nebula" leader Felix Przedborski, Jewish-Russian mafia elements active in Belgium, Cali Cartel involvement in Contra operations, and Mossad protection of these elements. Gratitude to "John Stevens".

2008
First to publish photocopies of Pilgrims Society membership lists, besides an ancient one from 1903, in this case the executive members from the period 1973-1995. A 1980 list was too large to be published, but many names were taken up in the html membership list, which includes sources per name.

University of Utrecht reaction

Some time before acquiring these lists, probably in 2006 or 2007, I rewrote the first version of my Pilgrims article in Dutch and used it for a (higher level) GED-type history exam at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, just in case I might want to pursue an education here. Granted, I largely did it out of laziness. But at the same time it was a legitimate subject.

It worked too. When I walked in to be questioned about my paper, the eyes of the 30-something assistant professor were popping out of head, stammering, "I have NEVER heard of this before!" The professor though, an old man in his 60s, looked annoyed, and only murmured, "I have!" How he would have is a good question, because no Dutch media ever mentioned the Pilgrims, and even British sources are very rare. I'm pretty sure he felt a little vulnerable.

In any case, the professor refused to ask me any questions on the society's history. Instead, he asked questions as, "Who was John Dawes", "What was the Dawes Plan", etc. Being young, lazy and naive, I had not prepared for this. I still managed to walk away with a 6 though, which at that point in time I was fine with.

It's a good example though how conspiracy and anti-conspiracy thinking clashed, but also created an acceptable middle ground on how to handle the subject.

2008
First to publish David Teacher's book Rogue Agents, a history on the Cercle group and its ties to the international security state and Paneuropean Right.

2010
Publication of two more X-Dossier related files: the testimony of Jacqueline Smolders and a related case file. Gratitude to "John Stevens".

2011
In October of this year, the first to publish photocopies of Cercle Group membership lists and speeches. Le Cercle has been meeting annually and biannually since 1953 in places as Washington, D.C., Nice, Bonn, Zurich, Oman and South Africa.

Kissinger scholars arriving

I had the Cercle documents since April 2011, and basically was just waiting for an opportune moment to write another incarnation of the Cercle article with them. I had seen the documents sitting in a Stanford library for years, but never really had the money to get someone to grab them.

Early, separate publication of the source documents on October 26, 2011 really was a reaction to a heads up from fellow Cercle author David Teacher that a Cercle research conference had been organized for October 26-29, 2011 - essentially behind my back - by Adrian Hanni, with British-Dutch professor Giles Scott-Smith and German professor Johannes Grossmann also attending. 4 Named 'Transnational Dimensions of Cold War Anticommunism: Actions, Networks, Transfers', the same papers I had in my possession since April were (likely) going to be shown. Preferring to be able to claim to be the first to have published Cercle documents, I uploaded immediately before the conference.😁

In reply to the new documents, David Teacher, apparently in contact with some of these people, emailed me back in November 2011:

"[Maybe you can] get a doctorate - it is certainly of a high enough standard [all the Cercle source documents you have published], and there's plenty enough in what you've written to produce a full doctoral thesis. If you fancied the idea, Prof Giles Scott-Smith ... would seem the best choice. I'd be happy to support the idea with him if that was where you wanted to go."

Exact moment in time Dr. Scott-Smith was intervening in my Cercle work, and apparently was interested in overseeing my doctoral thesis.
I thought it was an odd suggestion, because no one bothered to inquire if I even had a BA in political history - which I didn't, and still don't, and don't want. But seeing in August 2025 - 14 years later - that Professor Giles Scott-Smith, in that exact same period, brought one of his top students to meet Henry Kissinger at his office at Kissinger Associates, might explain a few things. 5

In 2012, 2011 Cercle research conference participant Professor Giles Scott-Smith published his book 'Western Anti-Communism and the Interdoc Network'. He talked a bit here about Le Cercle and related groups a bit, but never mentioned ISGP. He only mentioned David Teacher.

In 2014, 2011 Cercle research conference participant Professor Johannes Grossmann summarized David Teacher and me in his own Cercle-related:

"David Teacher's ... work, while meticulously documented, only ostensibly scientific, is primarily a compilation of all information available in secondary texts and on the Internet about the alleged "Cercle Pinay Complex." ...

"A similar approach is pursued by the Dutch conspiracy theorist Joël van der Reijden, who for several years has been compiling information on the Cercle and other, in his opinion, particularly influential, international organizations as part of an Internet project. [81] This study attempts to verify this publicly available information using a reliable source base, to reconstruct the activities and organizational structure of the Cercle as completely as possible, and thus to arrive at a scientifically sound evaluation."
6

This scholarly high-handedness exactly is one more reason why I published the raw Cercle documents he largely was using in 2014 -- in 2011. Not that it changed his dismissive arguing. Going through Grossmann's book for a third edition of my Cercle article, there was very little to find that I hadn't already documented from elsewhere, including Adrian Hanni. If I was a tenured professor or even Ph.D. student, I would have dug up a whole lot more information than the location of documents you can just find through Google.

At some point, probably 2011 or 2012, I received a copy of Adrian Hanni's Ph.D. thesis, the one he promoted on. I thought it wasn't the highest quality work (not to mention pretty much based on my work) and was quite puzzled that the opening section seemed to be a basic sentence-by-sentence rewrite of a British Cercle article about Jonathan Aitken. I mentioned it to Teacher, who said he would notify Hanni about it, but I never heard from Hanni himself.

At the time already I thought it odd that Hanni was a member of the Swiss branch of Colin Campbell's Association for the Study of Peak Oil (ASPO) 7, another area of unique research and with various peak oil people being invited to conspiracy disinformation shows as Coast to Coast AM. Just as surprising, the famous Dr. Daniele Ganser, who wrote the 2005 book 'NATO's Secret Armies' about the Gladio armies, was president of ASPO Switzerland from 2006 to 2012, as well as the Swiss Institute for Peace and Energy Research (SIPER).

At the time I already suspected intelligence ties of Adrian Hanni. Anno 2025, going back to Hanni's 2014 biography, that seems quite obvious: "Membership [of] Swissint: Association of Swiss Intelligence Officers." 8 This in addition to memberships of the Austrian Center for Intelligence, Propaganda and Security Studies (ACIPSS) and Critical Studies on Terrorism Working Group (CSTWG) of the British International Studies Association (BISA), and being invited in January 2014 to give a lecture at the International Spy Museum, Washington D.C. 9 Hanni developed other ties over the years, such as becoming a visiting researcher at the heavily national security-tied Jesuit Georgetown University. 10 In September 2024 he headed a Munich welcoming party for Professor Eitan Shamir 11, the head of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies and a "former head of the National Security Doctrine Department in the Israel Ministry of Strategic Affairs." 12

It seems clear that Adrian Hanni - and definitely not me - always was the perfect candidate to become a "postdoctoral fellow" at Leiden University 13, where not only the Dutch ruling elite resides, but also his Cercle research ally and Henry Kissinger associate Professor Giles Scott-Smith. 14

Now that I'm aware of the Kissinger relationship, the following is almost moot. But not entirely. Leiden University not only is home to the Minerva University, but also a little known group called the 'Volkenrechtelijk Dispuut "Prof. mr. B.M. Telders"'. On the board could be found some of the most aristocratic veterans of Bilderberg, Le Cercle Pinay and Soros' Open Society Foundations. Ernst van den Beugel, a very close friend of Kissinger, used to be on the board too. Another was Laurens Jan Brinkhorst, married into the royal family of Orange. 15 Looking at an insider biography written about Brinkhorst, interviews weren't just conducted with Henry Kissinger, but the sources list - apart from Gerard Aalders (who took my 1001 Club research) - also no less than 24 times lists the work of Professor Giles Scott-Smith, to the point you start thinking he was a co-author. It includes the book in which he refused to mention ISGP. 16

To me, the little October 2011 get-together of Henry Kissinger friend Professor Giles Scott-Smith, apparent Swiss intelligence officer Adrian Hanni, and German professor Johannes Grossman to produce a little official research on Le Cercle, simply was an effort to take the controversy out of the group a little bit. And also was a direct response to my own rather prominent ISGP articles on Le Cercle since 2005.

Let's not forget either that in June 2010 ISGP also had published the article 'Le Cercle and the Struggle for the Eurasian Continent; Notorious CIA "ghost" owned "Atlantic Cercle, Inc." from 1994 to 2002'. All these articles should have drawn the attention of anything from the CIA (family of senior officers landed in my mailbox), to Cercle members, to persons as Daniele Ganser. Maybe some had even figured out I had acquired the first official Cercle documents.

I'm not sure about the role of David Teacher. He's an enigma, for starters because he doesn't mind one bit to be associated with ISGP, both in publication and public feedback. I only now notice he got favorable feedback for his 2021 version of 'Rogue Agents' from an army of people who never bothered to talk to me: Robin Ramsay of Lobster, British Army Intelligence psywar expert Colin Wallace, Adrian Hanni, (a now more complementary) Johannes Grossmann, and famous U.S. author Peter Dale Scott

2013
Publication of more photocopies of Pilgrims Society lists: 1903, 1907, 1914, 1924, 1940, 1957, 1969 (this one thanks to Charles Savoie), and 1974. Several other lists (1933, 1950, 1979, 1980) were too large to be published, but many names were taken up in the html membership list, which includes sources per name.

2013
Publication of a photocopy of a 2010 membership list of the 1001 Club. Gratitude to Peter Carr, a big game hunting expert from England.

2017
Full September 1986 Bihay and Balfroid police report (Belgium) on Europe's Opus Dei network, including Le Cercle, and its branches to the United States. ISGP already published French-to-English translated excerpts in 2011, but never the full report plus the full translation. Gratitude to David Teacher, who had to supply the document no less than three times over a period of 9 years.

2017
Release of a number of English and French language internal Cercle histories dating back to 1991 and 1995. ISGP has been sitting on them since late 2011 or early 2012 when they were provided by David Teacher. Credit for obtaining the documents goes to Swiss researcher Adrian Hanni.

2022
1990, 1995, 2001 and 2002 membership lists of the Pilgrims Society were acquired from a London archive in May 2017, in addition to lists from the years 1908 (by accident, as I had forgotten about my 1907 one), 1920, 1926-27, 1936-37, 1945, 1948, 1954, 1978 and 1986. Key names as Donald Rumsfeld and Presscott Bush, Jr. were added and sourced to ISGP's Pilgrims Society membership compilation within weeks. The new lists were partially discussed in 2018, and published in full in 2022.

Another case of plagiarism

What's the definition of plagiarism? Let's see: Copying someone's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work." Yeah, I definitely feel this falls under that.

Fascinatingly, in February 2018 Edinburgh University Press published the book 'The Pilgrims Society and Public Diplomacy, 1895-1945'. It involves a study by a young professor named Stephen Bowman, who received his Ph.D. in 2014 and has been teaching at Northumbria University, Newcastle University, Durham University and University of Sterling in Great Britain. He also lists himself as "Academic Lead, University of Stirling COVID-19 Oral History Project ... Advisory Board Member, Scottish Political Archive ... Founder and Co-Chair, Creative Histories Research Group, [and] University of Stirling History UK Steering Committee Member." 17

Skimming through his 2018 book, the main gist of it reads like reading my own, much older work. Yet, he never mentions my name, nor the fact that I based my work on two dozen photocopies of membership lists from 1903 to 2014, a good part I have been releasing publicly in the decade prior. Somehow he also makes the case to have never seen my Pilgrims article after May 2014, even though in December 2014 I put my own site back up, with my Pilgrims article featuring in Google top 1-7 results generally when searching for 'Pilgrims Society'. Odd, as researching the Pilgrims would make someone bump into my article and membership/biography list literally non-stop (I've done nothing else). On p. 114 (and again in the 'Bibliography' on p. 241) he just gives a by-then hopelessly dead link with: "wikispooks.com/ISGP/ organisations/ Pilgrims_Society02.htm (last accessed 14 May 2014)." 18 What does Bowman write in relation to my article? Quite predictable too. He adds the word "sinister" (i.e. "problematic") to my conclusion; then effectively repeats those words without the word "sinister":

"[Conspiracy] theories typically suggest that the [Pilgrims] Society operates as a sinister network of elite men with great influence and control over world affairs. [45] While this book does make a case for the significance and relative influence of the Society, these other theories are part of a wider tradition of ‘new world order’ conspiracies of the type that highlight the omnipresent power that people like the Rothschilds allegedly hold over world finance. The focus on the Rothschilds – who were, in fact, represented in the Pilgrims’ membership in 1909 by James A. De Rothschild – is occasionally anti-Semitic, an element also evident in the Gaelic American’s 1906 portrayal of the Pilgrims. [46]" 19

First, note 46 is wrongly situated. It refers to one of countless conspiracy disinformation blogs named realjewnews.com/?p=14 and should have been behind "... Rothschilds allegedly hold over world finance", as the Gaelic American is entirely different publication and era. Secondly, ISGP already had James A. de Rothschild identified on the 1908, 1914, 1926-27, 1933, 1936-37, 1940, 1945, 1948, 1950, 1954 (listed here as having joined in 1907) and 1957 lists, with many of the lists already published for 5 years. So not mentioning that and sneakily inserting your own "The Pilgrims List of Members and Bye-Laws’, 1909"-source is quite disingenuous. We could go on, of course. Cambridge University Press' book summary reads:

"Drawing on rich archival research, this book explores how this elite network - whose members included J. P. Morgan and Andrew Carnegie - attempted to influence the Anglo-American relationship in the days before it became 'special'." 20

Really? I'd swear I was the first person who acquired and published the Pilgrims Society lists that included J. P. Morgan (Sr.) and Andrew Carnegie - and every other name mentioned in Bowman's book. I still remember looking at the acquired lists somewhere back in 2008 and being blown away these names actually were there, per the rumor. I also published biographical research on over 1,800 Pilgrims, and already wrote an entire history.

Even more ironic, anno 2025 ISGP has been deleted from Google when searching for the Pilgrims, where in 2005-2017 it always was listed in Google's top 1 to 7 or so. Bowman's book now is in the top 10. Also ironic, the Wikipedia on the Pilgrims was created months after ISGP's original 2005 Pilgrims Society article, with ISGP being listed on that Wikipedia for many years. 21 These days, ISGP has been removed, with Bowman's book being the source under 'Further Reading' besides Anne Pimlott Baker listed on Wikipedia.

I remember back in 2012 researching ISGP's JFK assassination article and continually going, "Were these guys *really* all members? Really?" Well, yes, they were.

  1. August 25, 2010, Nu.nl (largest Dutch news site), 'Dossier Dutroux on Wikileaks illegal' ('Dossier Dutroux op Wikileaks is illegaal'): "The placement of more than 1,200 pages from the dossier of the convicted Belgian child murderer Marc Dutroux is illegal. That was determined by prosecutor-general of Luik, Cedric Visart de Bocarme and an expert Tuesday on the French-language Belgian channel RTBF.
According to Visart, the leaked documents stem from a section of the Dutroux dossier that is still classified. Thus it can be read where and when An Marchal, Eefje Lambrecks, Julie Lejeune and Melissa Russo were kidnapped and raped. [Note: This is a total diversion from much more important facts; in the one-and-a-half year studying and translating the dossier, I never even paid attention to this.]
Also information is published about people, who sometimes haven't done anything and who are only being cited [by alleged victim-witnesses]. [Note: Very vague, unclear language ("cited"?), but clearly insinuates that the elite names by definition are not guilty] "Those [persons] might be subjected to public hatred on the internet, while this involves elements of a judicial inquiry which have to remain secret" [Read: "remain covered up"; and as for "public hatred" try "public questioning"], according to the prosecutor-general in the Belgian media.
The international whistleblowers website would already have put the dossier online in 2009. [Note: Yes, on April 17, 2009, almost two years after ISGP, which also translated and discussed all relevant content - and was read by tens of thousands of people by that time through sites supportive of Wikileaks. I actually was pointed to this file in early 2006 through an email from I think a Belgian person who somehow was aware (maybe through me asking about it on a forum Tueries du Brabant or the Bende van Nijvel forum) that I was looking for the X-dossiers. I was looking for it because a certain "John Stevens" seemed to be citing from it here and there on forums and in comment sections of media outlets. "John Stevens" only sent me the regular Dutroux dossier though. Not the X-Dossiers.]"

Ramutsindela et al. [After New Year's 2011-2012] I traveled back and forth to New York, where I met my [Ph.D.] supervisor, Professor Giles Scott-Smith, for the highlight of my trip: an interview with Henry Kissinger. The interview took place at the Kissinger Associates office on Park Avenue in Manhattan. Our appointment had already been rescheduled twice and was moved back again at the very last minute from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. because something "important" came up. It was therefore remarkable to witness how active Henry Kissinger (born 1923) still is."

In brief
On this site the reader can find about 100 articles with a total of 1.8 million words, not counting (fully written-out) sources, press reports, membership lists with biographies, and outside work. If the information is reorganized a little, it would be possible to publish it in about twenty 300 page books.
